We live in exciting times that are changing at a mind-boggling rate. Most of this change is due to advancing technology.

The advancing technology is thanks to Web 2.0 – the second generation internet, one that is more intelligent, user-driven and collaborative than the first one we all knew whose bubble popped big-time.

We are a media multi-tasking society that is time-shifted and demanding. We watch what we want, when we want, with ads or without, free or for a small fee. We choose what news we want to digest and heck, we don’t even have to go hunt it down anymore, it comes to us thanks to RSS feeds.

We enjoy more information than just static websites or corporate brochures. We are now consumers of podcasts, consumer-generated and shared videos, product reviews, blogs, social network sites like MySpace and Friendster, wikis, and more.

We have smart phones, laptops, gps units, iPods, personal DVD players, Tivo and digital cameras. We text or email instead of picking up a phone connected to a land line. We don’t interact in person as much as we engage virtually via technology and the internet and all of our clever devices and communication channels.

All of this has changed not only our lives, but the way we plan travel and the way we travel. The reasons we travel have also changed, as have the rewards we seek from travel.

Our company is as passionate about technology as it is about tourism promotion and marketing and Yellowstone and the regions and attractions we promote. We are early adopters and avid users of all the aforementioned gadgets and technology.

We read all we can, listen to all we can, watch all we can, network all we can, and experience all we can in this new economy and Web 2.0 landscape.

Our business-to-business e-Newsletter is a product we provide to tourism business industry partners and prospects to share our increasing knowledge. Content includes travel trends, tourism promotion trends, customer research about people considering or planning a trip to the Yellowstone region, technological advances and their likely applications in the future with respect to how they will affect lifestyles and travel, and more.
